Point is...you are right. We shouldn't be including such large files (GIF's JPG's and such) in our every post. It eats up too much BW and is a hinderance to site performance. If the majority want to allow GIFs in Siglines, the majority would be wrong (but the majority has been wrong before). Yes it is fun, but it is fun at someone else's expense. Now that I know Bob has some ideas to bring some of the better tools from the Old BBS days to IH, there will be plenty of opportunity for personalization to satisfy those of us that are left brain dominated.

Can it be true? a left brained conservative?

Hi Josh...

I've noticed the same problem on my slow dialup... the first time I run into a pic, it's really slow loading. But once I've seen it, then it doesn't slow me down again. Maybe if you didn't delete your cache then at least it wouldn't be so slow. I have mixed feelings about banning pics altogther... guess I like the ones that personalize a post (loads once and then is not a problem again), but maybe the random fun ones should be discouraged.
