It appears that the Democratic Party should be renamed the Undemocratic Party. Although many conservatives find it poetic justice that McCain may lose the election due to McCain Feingold. On the other hand, it's ironic that the Democrats continue to seek even more financial advantage in the election than they already enjoy. According to one strategist, if the Democrats succeed, McCain may be limited to campaigning from his front yard until September. McCain may also be penalized by the fact that there is no quorum at the FEC, only 2 of the 6 commission slots are filled. Democrats may not find it to their advantage to break their impasse with Bush to fill these slots.

Super delegates have the ability to thwart the will of the voters, if they choose to do so, at the Democratic convention. Obama, in his initial run for the state senate, sent attorneys to court to challenge the signature petitions of his challengers, all were dismissed, he secured the Democratic nomination unopposed, the start of a remarkable trend in which all of his opponents became mired in scandals of one sort or another. Obama had previously pledged to participate in the public campaign funding system, he has since modified his pledge, as he continues to be much better funded than any other candidate.

McCain had better be prepared to cease travel and campaign appearances before September. Perhaps, he could thumb his way to the Republican convention. He'd better be prepared for many more scandal stories to come a la the New York Times article.

The comments by Bill Cunningham the other day, were tame. I doubt that Clinton and Obama haven't had crowd warmers not using similar rhetoric. If McCain isn't prepared to show that Obama is a hack politician in the Daly mold, he might as well withdraw from the race. Hillary has barely mentioned the Rezko connection to Obama, and not a word about his Rezko assisted home purchase, yet the media says she threw in the kitchen sink. That's sheer bologna. If we are going to have a nice simple civil campaign where we talk only of hope, change, inspiration, Obama will win by 70%. McCain has to show the ultra liberal political views of Obama, his inexperience, and his connection to unsavory individuals. Otherwise, hail King Barack Hussein Obama. This guy is so young, and so popular, we may need to amend the constitution to permit him to serve way more than a mere two terms.
