And I still don't buy your persuasion if it even matters. Really, Dave, I don't understand why the relationship to the NDX you point out should have any significant effect.

For my money (and it is), I just think of the QQQQ ETF like a single stock. The QQQQ indicators I use in my "system", if it can even be called that, work well enough. I even forget that QQQQ really is more than a single stock. They could be still making buggy whips or star wars guns for all I know. I do know that there's a pretty good connection to tech, and I do think about that.

I haven't counted the QQQQ scalps at this desk for, say, the last year, but the percentage of those that were winners must be pretty good, anyway good enough to keep me coming back for more. More puts or more calls, it doesn't make much difference to me, although it is correct that puts do get more play at this desk. Why? Not really sure, but it probably has something to do with the fear vs greed thing. When over half the population tends toward long and that begins to go wrong for them and they subsequently dump, it seems to be a bigger beta chance for alert shorts or puts.
