chevdawg, it seems to me like you're very caught up in the intraday moment. i might ask "who really cares what happens in the next few days?" you invoke a "rat's behind" when it comes to how the market feels about the numbers in the financials. you claim they don't matter, and say that the overhang is the issue now, but imo the share imbalance will soon become irrelevant, and the very first thing any investor will focus on in a more rational market are the upcoming financials. this could happen as soon as monday morning if we see no sellers of significance.
you say we're "missing the point", but quite a few of us here intend to hold this stock for years, and are not growing increasingly annoyed about the events of the past few weeks as you seem to be. tombrady, for example, who's referencing the 10-K, knows it won't be posted for a while yet and probably assumes any shares for sale as a result of changes to rule 144 will be absorbed long before that filing arrives. so is it possible you're the one missing the point? it's all about perspective.
i know from your commentary earlier in the day you're not just upset about the overhang. you've been pounding the table saying the company needs to sell more mass produced products, and say this as if the idea has never occurred to them. did you read the proteus press release where they specifically mentioned mass production? did you read the Q&A i did with robert chamberlain a while ago about the 4000M lars? i mentioned i heard from a few sources they'd been clearing land adjacent to the facility, and that the implications were obvious. then you asked me "what would the reasoning be for this?" i doubt they want to put in a tennis court. i think it's clear they are growing.
by and large, you seem really rattled about issues that are ultimately going to be a blip in the story of this company. anyone who read the filings knew about the private placement, or shares held by former directors. we've been discussing this stuff for months. but when it finally becomes an issue that's when your tone has suddenly shifted. now you act as if the apocalypse is upon us. we already saw some bullish action near friday's close when the bid stacked and the ask was getting some serious volume, so i think it's possible your sense of alarm about this is a bit late.
and finally, as far as the notion of mass production goes, i'll be happy to grant the company more than four months after they develop a product to market it and mass produce it. that's not even "patience", it's merely what i would call "logical", or a lack of impatience. jmho.
