I haven't been keeping myself up-to-date on available hardware. Thought the dual Xeon's were the best bang for the buck. I'll check out the Opterons.

Full search on the new version of SI will take a while. What's built into SQL Server just wouldn't work on a 22-million message database, no matter how much horsepower I threw at it. Well, unless I were wanting to spend the REALLY big bucks. Which I don't.
