It's a little sad when you see EV-Dx and WiFi strategies compared in the same article. There's nothing stopping Verizon from rolling out WiFi, too. (In fact, I guess they already did for their DSL users.) It's just that they have a better alternative.
Well, I guess it remains to be seen if EV-Dx is better in terms of market acceptance, but given the fact that laptop modems exist for EV-Dx, it's disingenious of the article to suggest that WiFi has an advantage because it enables laptop users.
And T-Mobil's "10,000" hot spots in US and Europe... that's miniscule... I seem to recall that Verizon has more hot spots than that just at pay phones in Manhattan.
