Hi goin (edit),
I understand the difficulty. But the sauce is secret. And maybe that secret is lodged in the axons in Len Veil's brain, pictured here. http://www.sfn.org/skins/main/images/brainbriefings/big.dec.jpg

You can get some idea of what Wave thinks it wants to protect by reading the brief descriptions in the patent portfolio.

One thing I do know is that Intel seems to be more ambitious in what it is trying to do than some had hoped.

Dell was reported to be irritated by Intel's offer of remote access control in vPro and I believe was thinking of excluding it. And there seems to be crossover between Danbury and what Seagate is doing, which makes Seagate and Intel encryption engine competitors.

At this point, I don't think Wave is much affected. They'll all need to work together. And there aren't so many intermedaries in the trust market. ;-)

This old post from Sheldon Levine may also provide the sauce with a little colour.

"BTW, interoperability for IMC across TPM vendors will be provided by Wave via their CSP/TCG-enabled middleware. This is why I have stated in the past that Wave has a lock on the client side despite the development of Web Services interfaces, and that the Wave CSP will become "the JVM of trust". IMO."
