You can believe that all you want, but the fact is that I have personally been in the back office of a MAJOR investment firm in New York City (Manhattan) and was informed step by step how ANYONE with the right foreign account can short ANY stock.
Why was I in the back office? Because I had gone to Long Island to do some on-site DD and decided to pay a visit in Manhattan....and yes I have to admit, I so charmed the bigwig that he told me lots. Now that has been over 10 years ago, and since I was not interested in shorting, I didn't write it down, but I remember VIVIDLY the main point....It can be done and it is being done.....so don't try to tell me that it's not. That won't work with me.
