re: "you should quit that 9-5 job...
... I mean what would be better than making big bucks here"
Thats what I told myself about 4 years ago after I saved up $40,000. After doing it part-time off and on for 2-3 years I finally told them basically to "take this job and shove it".
3 weeks later the NADSAQ topped out at about 5200. It was all down hill from there. 4 months later I KNEW I had to go back to work and most of my money had dissapeared.
When things were still rocking, I remember one day I made 10k in Etoys. I was holing out for 12k or so. Gave it all back the next week and then down more from there. Got out even on a rumor blip weeks later.
Account was basically killed in the months that followed. The last gasp mistake I made was buying ATT LEAP calls @ $45. Looked like a bargain! ATT had just come down from $65-70 area and they had that whole internet branch about to take off (haha, I wish. Cant remember the name of that division/tracking stock now). Anyway, ATT was below $15 before I knew it. Complete Loss.
So, think Ill stick with the day job a little longer.
Thats the one that pays all the bills you know.
