I understand what you meant by the filing bankruptcy segments and the Holdings. However, since there are Holdings, does not that help the shareholder, seeing that there are valued assets that can be sold-off first, and thus give some cushion for the shareholders?
finbar, what you write is very correct and to the point regarding "ad hoc" versus "offical equity" committee's. The following link is a great read on this whole processs.
By the way, I spoke to the lead Attorney today who filed the motion for an "offical equity committee" for NRVH. I went through with him how confident he was in having the judge rule in favor of a committee. He sounds like he is pretty confident given what looks like the solvent nature of NRVH's estate at this point and given the litigation that could goes thier way leading to even more recovery for sharholders.
