You have a "dumb" consumer who was comparing GHz and speed grades before and choosing the cheaper machine.

HailMary, I agree completely. I think AMD marketing should promote little charts to go along with their cpus especially on OEM boxes.
So, the HP 3400+ should have something like this:

AMD machine
Athlon 64 3400+ Equal Or Better Than:
Intel P4E 765
1GB DDR400 memory
ATI Radeon 9800
$1999

In cases where the CPU is significantly better than Intel's offerings, they should just say better
