>your posts seem void of hope

Disagree. Posts like this one - http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=26528893 are informative. Not hopeless. Even if only one person chooses not to be victimized by predetory advertising, that's a good thing.

>your posts key on materialism(gold).

Gold currently is, and has in the past been, a good defense against hyper-inflation. As gold enters four figure territory for the 1st time, I'm suspecting that it is usefull to circulate legitimate theories as to why that is happening.

>It only takes ONE great mind to come up with ONE idea to make big change for the entire world.

What appears to be different today as opposed to many years ago is the large number of problems we're facing all at the same time. We are surrounded six sides to Sunday with Peak Oil, Water Crisis', Climate Change, Deforestation, Species extinctions, and Financial Collapse. Even a whole bunch of really good ideas will only postpone the inevitable at this point.

Sure, we discovered petroleum based fertilizers just at the time when the world was facing it's last food crisis. Problem solved because there was plenty of oil and water at the time. That's not the case now, and as James Howard Kunstler says, you can't eat technology.

>Hope is the result of faith

True hope. Yes. The hope that's being peddled is a false hope based in material things. Did you see those Super Bowl adds? Apparently you can be super hopeful about our collective futures if you go out and buy more stuff since that's the new guage with which we can all measure how hopeful we all can be.
