if you start buying margin and do 3 daytrades within a 5 day period what happens?

what happens if you purchase $5k stock on margin and the stock is halted and opens up at $500--


I trade for my nephew- I took an Amtd cash acct from $2 to $5k in 3 mo- then had him setup as a margin acct- the next day I tried buying multiple stocks and all were denied-
reason? certain stocks require a $25k balance when trading a Margin acct-
a Cash acct- very few stocks are limited.

again call and talk to your brokerage and ask alot of questions.
