Hi Tom:

I've used MSN's screener for quite a while. One can't argue with Free! I think Bernie was the one who mentioned it originally.

I haven't looked at the 'similar' feature, but do use the Custom Stock Screener all the time.

It is extemely powerful! Not only can you define and save custom screens, but you can also copy the results to your clipboard and paste them into Excel in a snap. I do this to accumulate sets of selections (across different sectors for example), and then use Excel to 'boil down' the list further.

I just now looked at the Stock Matcher at MSN. Surprised to find that it is really just a predefined screener using the same query tool as I mentioned prior. Interesting insofar as the criteria contains some math as well (I wasn't aware one could do that too).

Now I need to play some more.
