The Pats' offense goes into another gear in warm weather. However, if anyone saw the Giants/Pats game in December they'll know the Pats were very fortunate to escape with a win there.
I think one of the keys will be the right side of the Pats' line. Protect well there, and they'll be able to do a lot of things.
I don't think Eli Manning's going to be able to pick apart the Pats defense. Those guys are too smart, too rested, and too healthy. Give the coach with the hoodie 2-weeks to prepare for a game and load up Plaxico Burress with a lot of stupidity, and you've got plenty of motivation for the Pats.
Few people have mentioned the experience factor in this matchup. The Pats have been here, the Giants haven't.
If this were played in cold weather, I'd like the Giants. However, it's in Phoenix, so I like the Pats. I don't think they'll cover the spread, however.
I'm looking forward to the commercials as well! I'm not looking forward to all the lip synching at the half-time show, however. Same for the national anthem, which is typically lip-synched as well.
Big ups to Gwen Stefani and No Doubt a few years back for bringing the real goods to the Super Bowl halftime show, doing it down in the flesh live. They were a rare breed in these times of pre-packaged, homoginized Super Bowl half-time shows.
