If you pay much attention to ISRG you know that their big money maker isn't selling the robotic bases. Yes they bring in some nice revenue but the big profit items for them are the resuable one use tools that go along with the robots. I imagine this is very similar to what CTUM will be doing. Yes the big $ items are gonna be the generators but CTUM probably isn't focusing on turning big profits on the generators. Its the reusable handsets for every procedure that are gonna be needed where they will make their money.
This is referred to as the Gillete model isn't it? Basically give away the bases but make a fortune on the disposable blades.
