AMD has just suffered the worst press in the history of our business. As you pointed out, only some of the Key OEMs are getting samples. Why not all of the Key OEMs? Maybe just the HPC OEMs because the bug doesn't affect them? There is reason for serious doubt that the bug is fixed and based on AMD's track record, their word isn't worth much. It would seem easy enough for AMD to get samples out to reviewers for confirmation. The appearance that AMD still has something to hide is unavoidable. If they're not spinning another stepping the this silicon is the same as production silicon. No difference and for some reason AMD doesn't want anyone buy a few Key OEMs (not all of them) to see it. I'm sure you are absolutely convinced it's fixed just because AMD said so, but history tells us that's not a reliable indicator.
