Layoffs at MSFT... i wonder if they are starting to get more serious about offshoring.

I really don't want the final swoon scenario, I'd like to think we're going higher.

About MSFT...I hope not, I've been buying a ton of it the past couple weeks. It's just beaten to hell, way oversold. I've heard talk about layoffs as well, but I'm not worried about that. I think the weakness has just been leading up to this EU thing, and also concerns about '05 growth. Longhorn isn't due out until '06 so what's to drive growth next year? If the IT spending pickup is real, I think they'll be fine. They sounded pretty upbeat at last quarter's CC, and the only negative since then has been the delay of their SQL and VS SW until '05...but since that was announced, I'm assuming that's already being priced in. I look at it as an opportunity to buy it cheap. I think it's got a lot of negatives already priced in here.
