AMD chart will attract those TA buyers. You might feel more comfortable doing the fundamental analysis--but the TA guys sold AMD in the teens when it broke through major support.
The key to at least knowing how to read charts is that, even though you do not believe in them, you can at least know what the TA guys see in the charts and what it takes for them to put any buying power into play. Why not know when that happens?
You can focus on the fundamentals--but you would have held all the way down. There was always a positive spin on the fundamentals--but the chart told you differently. JMO
