Welcome to the wonderful polarised world of AMD and Intel and don't take it to heart. Two of those guys that replied to you are/were Intel employees (permanent and contractor) and the other one, chipguy, is an Intel investor. It's in their interests apparently to bash the stock, makes them feel they have done their bit for the cause ;-).
Hey - this is a forum. If you don't want any discussion then why post here? You offered advice and made a suggestion. You got advice and a suggestion in return. Nobody's being uncivil.
The point is that if you didn't know anything about the company then maybe the charts would suggest a screaming buy but AMD is a perfect example of why you need to look deeper. This chart of a more fundamentally sound company would scream buy!
