gap fades / reversals are a very high probability pattern lately.
Like SKF dropping under 102 in the first 10 minutes only to climb 6 points later on. That low happened to be a breach of the 50 day MA where a lot of stop orders were probably placed.
If you think about where people might be placing those orders (under a MA or just under a whole number -- SKF hit 101.85 -- just enough to take out those 101.95 orders...) you can hit a small jackpot on the reversal.
Same was true with SOLF in retrospect -- that bottom was the first time crossing under the 200 day MA and hitting all kinds of stops. Once those orders were done -- selling pressure disappeared.
Some of the swings are huge. SPF is up about 75% from about 3 days ago.
