"I hope that we are not affected by tomorrow's potential market-wide bloodbath.'

We will certainly get affected and this was partly what I was trying to state in my original post, which triggered all sorts of brainless attacks. To me, this MB is about discussing the sciences and the opportunity but also about discusiing the value of our investment here as compared to other opportunities. Apparently, many of you do not want to hear about that and it is too bad because we all get affected by what happens elswewhere in the market...

I have been for a while promoting the safety of GTCB as an investment at these prices as compared to other possibilities. However, when the market tumbles, as it apparently is about to do, other opportunities become more compelling and thus many investors may sell GTCB in order to grab these other opportunities. ZGEN was one example I gave this week-end but if we see a major market tumble there will be many more examples, and hence the reason people say that a falling tide takes down all boats...

The key questions for us as investors is whether GTCB will hold its own against a tumbling market and whether GTCB will recover better than others when this blood bath is over. The answer to the first question is probably GTCB will hold better than most stocks in this market because it really is already too low for what it has to offer. On the other hand, I do not think GTCB will recover from these lows as violently as other stocks could after a major sell-off. So whether it is a good or a bad idea to hold on to GTCB shares in this market is a matter of perception as to whether we are after safety or after some major upside. Of course one could argue that good top line US ATryn data followed by a solid partnership could provide GTCB with a major upside also, and I do not deny that possibility, but the stock has not been trading lately as if investors expect that to be such a big deal for GTCB...

Now, hopefully, I will get some decent debate going here about this topic rather than the usual empty brainless statements by some trying to belittle anything that has to do with the pps...
