US Central Commander in the Mideast Admiral Fallon said yesterday that concentrating on Iraq allowed the Taliban to reconstitute itself in Afghanistan. It's been announced 3,000 Marines will be deployed to Afghanistan...my guess is that number is higher, and will grow.
With AQ in Pakistan and the Taliban regrouping in Afghanistan, The Decider has made real "progress" in the mid-East, hasn't he. These regions have/always will be tribal - instead of concentrating on who damaged the USA on 9/11, The Decider used that tragedy as an opportunity to get our hands on Iraq's oil supply.

I don't see the contradiction. We went into Afghanistan first. As a result of success there, AQ moved into Pakistan- a move to be expected
No one is talking about extending militarily into Iran in the same fashion as we did in Iraq. We don't have the numbers in the military to do that- or the national will. All talk about Iran is centered on taking out their nuclear potential. IF we don't do that, I guarantee the Israelis will
