CBC gets ATV all wrong...

Listening to the biz report they seemed to be saying that ATV was all about buying movies to watch on your iPhone!, which they followed with some tutting by a media analyst wondering "who really wants to watch Lord of the Rings on such a tiny screen", and the closer to the story being "and we still don't know when Canada will get the iPhone". Ye gods...

WLD: Torrents work best for episodic TV.

Minimal shelf life, commercials removed, HD not generally necessary.

Movie rentals will likely be an easier transition to Canada than TV was, given the vagaries of the various networks and Cancon - as Hollywood already controls all our theatre chains, they should have little issue with rolling it out here.

Mind you, we still ain't got that iPhone thing either...
