I'm with you there about the day to day stress. I find at times like this its good to look back at prior such unsettling events and see how the world did not end.

1998 and the ltcm debacle is one. Net new lows got to minus 40% but life continued on.

As to people I mean John Q Public who listens to and in many cases thinks its true, the nightly news.
