We might see our second Publix/WNBD PR...

Publix to allow SMART™ Wet Cleaning as Co-Tenant in U.S. Locations
Solvent Free Solutions Considered Environmentally Safe Option

(May 22, 2007) Barrie, Ontario, Canada - Winning Brands Corporation (WNBD: Pink Sheets) www.WinningBrands.ca announces that Publix Supermarkets will permit the co-location of the Solvent Free Solutions alternative to Perchlorethylene-based Dry Cleaning at its sites in the U.S. The alternative system uses SMART™ Wet Cleaning Solutions manufactured by Winning Brands. There has been growing concern by property managers across the USA about the implications of co-locating traditional Dry Cleaning plants that use Perc in shopping malls and plazas because of questions about the safety of Perc in the environment and its effect on human health. Progressive landlords and major tenants have been vetting systems in order to diminish exposure by the public to Perc where possible. Publix is one of the USA’s largest supermarket chains with 902 stores and $21 Billion in sales. This decision by Publix now makes co-location of Winning Brands’ SMART™ Wet Cleaning system facilities with Publix stores possible as demand warrants.

Winning Brands Corporation designs and produces SMART™ Wet Cleaning Solutions for use by professional garment cleaners in North America and internationally. They are distributed by Solvent Free Solutions Inc., who also provide installation and training in the operation of associated hardware. Winning Brands’ mission is to replace hazardous chemicals in widespread use with safer alternatives.

OT: I think I had a stroke. OK.

Yeah, Publix would be a nice announcement running in/out of the show. Could you imagine the buzz if they just mentioned talks with them?
