Least we not forget the business model, the total now may be
as high as six tools, either under FDA review or shortly to available for FDA review. At six, we will have as many as most any other hand held genset platforms provide.
We have heard Frank D. in the Virtus (2007) state " many, many tools". I take this to mean fat ones, short ones, skinny ones, long ones, tools for entering the patient, tools for the procedure specific and tools for exiting the patient.
Can this be done with twelve tools? 80+ applications? Imo, twelve is a very tight number, tool wise, maybe but doubtful.
And at Twelve, LTC WILL be as versatile as any Electrosurgical system marketed today,,,, or more so.
At twelve tools, the applications currently are 80+, we will be able to provide enough flexibility to have patients under going a number of different procedure entirely without sutures, staples, glues or sealants.
To my knowledge there are only about six specialty clinics
around the country that do this, for a limited number of patients and a somewhat limited number of procedures on a bloodless (no transfusions) basis. And yes these clinics have to provide multiple surgical platforms to their surgeons, cross train them in those multiples. On top of all the current deficiencies inherent with other platforms, patient families have to travel away from home to be with these patients.
When will this become a Discussed platform in all co. boardrooms dealing with staples, sutures, and glues??
What will the specialized clinics be talking about, as one general procedure after the next are available on a no blood basis? For everyone?? How it will happen,,, it will be those tools coming off the drawing board, one after another!
As you say abbam, The E.U. works the same way! Personally I feel everything is coming together for "the big push".
