I don't know how this will go short-term, I'm in more for the long-term on this one. They "should" be profitable for 4thQ07 and 1stQ08, so I'm hoping the market reacts positively, but who knows? They are solid in the marine mapping business, but still need one of their other divisions to step up. They need to even out their quarterly revs and earnings.
Regarding their backlog of 8/31/07 (vs. 8/30/06)
Total 70.2M vs 35.2M
Firm 45.9M vs. 14.9M
Option 24.3M vs. 20.3M
At year end last year (2/21/07) they had backlog of 63M/35M/28M total/firm/option respectively.
They should do about $26M for 2007.
They are continuing to win contracts, though nothing to blow your socks off.
I'm overall bearish on the stock market right now, but am holding OSI as I think they are on the right track and undervalued.
