Not that it affects me (unless you un-grandfather some of your grandfathers!), but my basic thought is: the more options the better. And you should not do an automatic charge to credit cards unless the user has CLEARLY indicated that this is their preference. Personally, if I were on the receiving end, I would prefer an email that said "your subscription expires in one week, click on the following link to renew it for another month [or year, or whatever period], and then, after that link, or click on the following link to chnge your subscription options where they could cancel, change from monthly to yearly, etc. Is that hard to do?
