I tend to agree w/that...especially for me....the KISS approach...."keep it simple stoopit" ;)~
& so far it's done well by me....at least at this point (6+ months into it) I can begin to feel a lil better about the fact that it's been an ample window of time in which to gauge this strat.
Still tho....goin deeper as in what you're doing can't hurt either....just gotta be more focused is all in staying w/your filters.
