I dont understand why he would have to cover anything other then the longs who bought and paid for their shares, Why did he have to issue shares for short air shares that never existed in the first place.
Because those are the shares that you guys now own.
Why would he bail out the short positions since they never bought any stock in the first place?
Because that's the only way DTCC would let the stock trade again.
