So far Itanic has 3 victims: Alpha, HP-RISC (deadly wounded) and RS14000. I wonder if they had good future without Itanic anyway.

9 years ago Alpha was very, very strong and marching. Yes, I can beleive that Intel planned multi-step opration to kill it, even if it costs it 2 billion.

What's now? HP document was already mentioning that HP will have a full range of products with Opteron, not just 2P, 4P and blade as officially announced. I expect HP to have an Opteron server matching every Xeon server they make, but advertised as 50% faster one.
