#13278 RE: blue heron #13277

Hi Blue,
I think that is a fair enough statement. The stats' quoted on the engine they're developing is not going to appear in the 2009 model year.

"...HDP’s family of highly powered, multifueled, fuel efficient, light weight, cost effective internal combustion piston engines."

"...an engine that is 25% of the size and weight, has 20% of the parts and a 25% increase in fuel efficiency compared to conventional engines"

Now that is an engine of tomorrow! Unfortunately, it won't be delivered tomorrow, or next month, or next year. None the less, with the track record Carlson and Lowe have for materializing innovation, it's very promising, but the company is not going to have its future depend on that coming through. It gives Carlson and Lowe a missing piece to their jig-saw puzzle and when they complete it, they can proudly display it in front of GM, Ford and the world. If they hit the Lotto, we'll have a piece of the action. If they don't, it sounds like they'll still add great credibility to the TOVC technology. In that way, I suppose, it's not unlike being 'chosen' by NASA. High end engineering: the stuff works: its selected by top notch engineers for their premium products.

Now what we need is some trickle-down to boring old production stuff. The kind of vehicles you and I would ride around in.
