#6280 RE: exwannabe #6276

"News on trial results would not be a problem, because he would not have known the data at the time he bought. Nobody knows trial results before unblinding."

This is an important statement you make. Until recently, many of us surmised that insiders already know the data as this is not a double blinded trial. And in fact, even Dew in one of his posts hinted to that being the case. However, I agree with you that the Cox purchase today negates that possibility.

So my previous fears that insiders knew the data is not great and have communicated such to distant relatives and friends, thus the selling, has now been put to rest because of the Cox purchase. As a result, I was again a buyer today and I simply can not comprehend why the selling keeps going on. My only explanation at this point is that we have some investors that got bored from the wait, especially that now it looks more like a January event, and therefore they are selling GTCB as a Tax-loss for 2007...

On another note, I am not in full agreement with Dew that the buying by Cox today implies that there will be no news for a month or so. As I recall, SEC rules are that insiders can not trade on information that they have not released within two weeks of that release. So it is still conceivable that we get top line data, and possibly a partnership announcement, before year-end...
