chasky: you make me feel like a selfish deadbeat...

I bought:

-- myself a macbook (arrived a week or so ago)

-- my wife a Nano (she outgrew previous gen. Nano) and a new battery for her 1-1/2 yr. old macbook

-- iTunes giftcard for the daughter (who already has Shuffle, 4th gen iPod, 5th gen video iPod and an iMac)...

I was on the verge of getting my wife an iPod Touch because she is traveling to Chicago for a couple weeks, but she said she is going to take her laptop because she'll have to do actual work while in Chicago and will need full computer to do it.

Then I thought about getting the daughter a Touch, but realized she has more iPods than she needs already and they all still work... plus we just gave her a new cell plan w/unlimited texting for Hannukah...

So then I thought about getting a Touch for me... but decided a new macbook is enough for now.

I really wanted to buy a Touch, but just isn't working out in the rationalization dept. yet... yet... still have a lot of bonus money burning a hole in my discretionary spending pocket... might need a 30" ACD, a Touch, an iPhone and... and... and... several thousand bucks worth of software and upgrades?

I guess maybe I'd better not with the markets acting so weird of late. Maybe I'll just buy gold bullion (but where to keep it in my plywood and tarp shack on the beautiful banks of the San Luis Rey River?).
