IMO, the Escala mine is not a "sweetheart deal." It's an old mine that was in COMIBOL's inventory and FMNJ picked it up so that they would have something to report to us about mining after the debacle at Pulacayo.
Americano and NYBob pumped this stock for so long and if people listened to them and acted on what they were saying they would have lost a ton of money. On the other hand, if you listen to FA, you would have saved yourself a lot of money.
Steve told me the same thing regarding the reporting of income and how it should be done through 10Qs and Ks. This is correct. For now we will just have to waite for the annual newsletter.
When I spoke to him I indicated that I thought that Petty was always in control in the past, but according to him this was not the case. He was always just a consultant. Now he is in control.
Anyhow, we can only waite awhile longer at this point in time.
Hopefully 2008 will be a better year.
