I think I see why the FX-55 is now in May.

The 3800+ (2.4Ghz) A64 is also due in May. The additional 512K cache that the FX line has is not enough to justify a premium brand and price. That have to keep it ahead in frequency to maintain its image. So they either have to delay 2.4Ghz A64 parts, or ship a 2.6Ghz FX.

Speed binning must be pretty good. AMD is looking like it will have a very strong year.

FX-55 on 939 is simply going to slaughter the competition on benchmarks.
