gaps are just a fact of life imo. don't like 'em? it's sort of like saying "stop signs are stupid, i'm just going to hit the gas." sometimes that approach works, other times it can be painful. if most traders see these road signs you begin to watch for them and abide by them -- even if you don't think they have much to do with reality.

As for your other comments, if you look at the chart over this decline you will see the indicators are very close to finally reaching a true oversold point.
Pretty much since late 2006 this stock has been on a very nice/healthy uptrend, and again, if you look at the chart each upward movement was followed by a proportional downward movement (50% +/-).
