Re: Second, I do not recall any articles saying that AthlonMP sales declined. AFAIK, AthlonMP sales increased in 2003.
What do you know about Athlon MP sales? They don't seem to have become more competitive since Opteron began selling. If anything, they've become less competitive relative to Xeon, now that Xeon has become available with larger caches. Why would you think that sales have increased?
