I think AMD has much better control over ASP now. You remember few days ago when AMD completely stopped all Athlon shipments into Philippines?

This is very impressive. Those guys were buying shitloads of XP 1900 and remarked them into 2400. AMD was not able to track them and was not in position to just stop the shipments of sub-$50 parts. Now they can.

I expect AMD to stop all production of sub-2400 parts (maybe they already did). I hink Philippines was a very big buyer of 1900 parts. Cutting them means cutting sales of 1900 parts big time.

Intel may have the sub-$50 market. Path is wide open.
