mayu: Re: ...were you invested in nvei at that time? I can't remember when you started posting but I am curious if you knew that, why you invested in nvei and have stayed around all this time.

I didn't know the Burstein article existed until today, when MWL posted that he had spoken to him and someone else posted that he had written a negative article about NVEI. I Googled "Burstein" and "NVEI" and there it was. I have read Burstein's musings in DSL Prime for years, but I never saw the NVEI article.

I invested in NVEI around that time. Well, maybe a little later. I seem to recall that I first put money into NVEI around the end of 2000 or the beginning of 2001. I knew at that time that it was highly speculative, and I believe my very first post (on RB) was one that cautioned people to not invest anything they could not afford to lose in NVEI. I have always considered it a long shot. Unlike a lot of the longs here, I traded in and out of the stock, and overall I finished to the good - neglecting the small position I still own. Also, unlike a lot of the longs here, every share I ever owned was bought on the open market, so I never had the advantage of getting deeply discounted 144 shares, either.

Having said all of that, I doubt that Burstein's article would have influenced me either way. He obviously didn't put enough effort into it to even get the name of the company right.
