1581 (and everyone else): Tax selling season is upon us and I wish to make something clear to everyone who is holding negative positions;

while there is NO pleasure in being in the red, remember that 1). it is NOT Keith's fault HMGP suffered blizzards to floods, and 2). selling your shares for a tax loss, only turns out to be a considerable gain for the buyers of those shares, of who you can be sure will gladly take them at YOUR loss.


IMVHO, this is one of the rare times when tax selling HMGP may NOT be wise tax planning, especially at this point in time. Had the tax selling been done 1 month sooner, perhaps, but we are entering a time-frame where the 31 day wash sale period combined with greater chances of reversal may be more practical to simply hold.

Consult your tax planner and the HMGP chart of last year, before making any quick decisions.
