One fab is only good for 20% mss if it can be fully utilized for volume manufacturing going forward.

I think it's much closer to 25%. I guess AMD's best chance is if it can sell out Fab 36 completely and add 45nm 300mm capacity as needed in the other fab. That might get them to break even in an expanding market. Do they have the cash to convert the other fab to 300mm? They claim break even is at about $2B in rev and at least 40% gross margin. Seems like they need to sell another 4+ million chips per quarter to get there. I think they have the capacity but the market is not expanding fast enough unless AMD continues to gain share in an increasingly low end dominated market. The next two quarters will tell.
