xyz, another way would have been for tom to have sold the shares and paid off the cds. If he would have done that then people would have accepted that knowing it was for a good cause. Plus it would have been at a lot less shares. He already knows that people would flock here once he put out a pr stating that the cds are gone and the price would fly.

xyz1002- one quick question. Could the deal be structured in a way with the existing cd holders (Cornell) that the debt only be paid off through conversion of shares and that Tom COULD NOT PAY it off through cash (LOC) or any other means?

Just because Cornell knows they can make much more money through converting shares vs. being paid off early.

Intelligent post.... I don't know if Tom is trying to keep everyone happy with this challenging juggling act or what.

Perhaps Tom could have gone a different route... but chose the one we're on for a special reason(s). Your post provided good examples.

We are where we are right now and the only thing that must be exercised is patience.

XYZ1002 says it best:

"So now that is past, let us move on. Convert the remaining CD's and grow the business. All will be happy at the end."
