Also, the F12 retrofit was announced publicly only a few months ago so I doubt that Fab12 is anywhere near converted. Have you seen any public reported intel estimates for startup?

No I haven't and chipset demand could push things out if capacity elsewhere becomes tight. However you look at it, Intel can not fill 3 300mm fabs much less 4 on processor demand alone, assuming good yields. I know that Intel has many many design wins in Comms and they may run on 300mm wafers. The last thing Intel wants is to hit the jackpot in Comms and have no fab capacity. I admit that I don't see how they will use all that capacity but there must be a reason for all the expansion.
