You are correct, it has many uses beyond just storing firearms, but it is good to be aware that the CADOJ has approved it for use as a firearm safety device. I can understand where one might get the impression that the line describing as "no firearms approved" means that the CADOJ doesn't approve of any gun being safe in the vault. But further review on the website clearly indicates that it is impossible for any vault, box, or other storage device to be used "with" a gun, rather you need safety devices or bullets to be approved with a particular firearm. I intend to contact the CADOJ people at some point next week to clarify. If I do, I will link the name and number of my contact there. I'm sure the answer will be just as clear.
