In June, I reported here some things Richard Suttmeier wrote at RealMoney.com. He was saying things like "The current situation will end worse than the 1988-1992 period, our last major recession". "Banks could fail to the tune of a $300B hit to the taxpayers this time." (His estimate might be low.)

I don't recall his forecasting the extreme credit crunch we are in. That makes matters even worse.

In a June 6 article, he said: "I reiterate my April 1 call that the U.S. economy will be in a recession from 2008-2009."

I believe him. Everything else he said has come true.
