"I would rather focus on making President Bush's tax cuts permanent...". And just WHO do you suggest pay for the Repub's war- our children/our grandchildren? Sounds mighty selfish to me. Repubs want/love wars but don't want to pay for them...rather, they believe in a free lunch. Go figure!
As for the Dems and taxes, you and I know this country is in trouble - both internally and externally. Sorry to burst the bubble of many Repubs, but a free lunch is just not possible. We ALL are going to pay for The Decider's drunken spending spree once he leaves office, which we also have the Repub-controlled Congress to thank - for 5yrs they NEVER said "no" to the kid in the oval office and never insisted he behave in a responsible manner regarding his spending spree. Best we can hope for in the '08 election is a MATURE, RESPONSIBLE president who can UNITE this country once again.
