Our government, in my opinion, can't convince us to demand one currency with Mexico and Canada. I personally, a college student, who has only recently understood the financial market to a sense, don't see what they could bring to us, although i have not done any research on that.
I can't think of what I'm trying to say, but i don't see anything special from those two countries.
Another question to ask would be, Why would Mexico and Canada demand a unified currency with the US? Especially with our problems. I feel its the greedy, wealthy, power hungry people who have screwed us over here, and in the end they won't be paying for whats going on today and tomorrow but rather us working class.
