I posted this a while back from my conversation with lorne.
How much land does SG have/own?


SG: The company does not 'own' land but has leases on the land's mineral rights. I will get back to you with a specific figure 9n acres of all the land SG has currently tied up.

The land is only leased, and from what I understood they had nothing to worry about losing the land. He said that Doug was a friend or something like that with the people.
